if you are accusing yourself of pseudo-intellectualism, please don't. i think it is natural, when you're a geek in general. please write to me when you are applying for grad schools/ when you start looking. i am interviewing people throughout winter...and you know i am not the most permissive (though i try to be the nicest)person around here.

No, not pseudo-intellectualism - it's just a thing. Some people collect stamps, some collect coins; I collect random bits of trivia. It's one of the main reasons I'm at all good at computers - I can keep a lot of trivialities about the program and the operating system in mind, to track down bugs and so on. So it's more of a pat-on-my-back than an accusation, really :)
