David Baddiel is cool

As I am sleepy, that will be all. As of right now, a documentary on the 1986 Aeroméxico Flight 498 plane crash over Los Angeles is on National Geographic.

Next time I need music

I should definitely look at this: the album with "I'm No Superman" on it!

I'm down

I'm a little down right now. It might be that our likely next living place is kinda depressing. On the inside, it's much like our present place, except not so much in terms of furniture. It's bigger, though; and kinda prettier in its way. On the outside, though, it doesn't compare. No 7-Eleven across the street, no pretty green patches to walk through right outside your door; likely, no cats snooping around randomly. And the location! Here, we're sitting at the intersection - practically - of Ulu Pandan Road and Clementi Road. OMG! Buses up north to Bukit Timah and Bukit Panjang, buses cross town to Orchard and the City, and south to work and college. This new place, it's tucked away somewhat, with buses into Bukit Batok centre, from where you reroute to all across the island, or atleast where-ever Bukit Batok buses go; sometimes, you'll need to get to Jurong East to reroute somewhere interesting instead. Also, the topography is crazy: hills behind us, buildings in front of us, large green patches every which way. Disappointing, I'm sure.

There's also a certain lack of movement. Is this what it's all about? All this time, and I'm moving sideways into more of the same, except it's not even pretty any more. And more importantly, movement to and from both work and college are going to be hampered somewhat; I'm going to have to work much harder just to keep doing whatever it is I'm doing! Sigh.

There's good sides to this too, I'm sure. I'm going to keep fantasising about getting my own pad. I'm going to keep fantasising about getting out of here, or rattling things up somewhat. And this isn't something millions of people around the world don't do already! And it is a change, even if for the worse, and change is always good. No?

The Bioinformatics Institute

One of the few places where I've seen application-level improvements in Bioinformatics. And in New Zealand, no less! I should keep this place in mind, for later maybe. And oh, oh, oh! Isn't this simply the perfect thing ever! Only this other thing I bumped into could possibly be better! And there is also this, being my best chance possibly etc.

I *heart* Mel Blanc

OMG. Seriously. What a character.

And you know what's the one thing I love more than a genius voice actor? A genius voice actor with a great sense of humour.

Time's the thing

Am trying to slowly slide my wake-up time earlier and earlier. The plot is to get up earlier, get moving earlier, so I can get home earlier, giving me a larger block of time to do whatever I want in, and more flexibility at the end of the day to meet that deadline. This week so far has been crazy: I've been barely squeezing in everything I have to do (except for the little bits which ooze out through the cracks) while also trying to do this Grand Transform (and what's the point, really, may I ask? One weekend day getting home late and it'll be blown to bits, I can promise you that).

As asides: Facebook comic one, Facebook comic two (NSFW!), and a TV show I thoroughly enjoyed as a kid. Those were the days! School sucked, though. And the independence at present in very nice. And no internet! I promised myself I wouldn't be one of those "Ah school I loved school!" type people, and this is my way of making up for it.

OMG facebook applications

I just had to sit and individually ignore something like 10 Facebook application invites! Ten! In the last few days alone! Everything from being gifted a garden to being bitten and turned into a vampire to ... to ... well, I don't know, because Facebook in its infinite wisdom redirected back to the frontpage once all requests were rejected.

Seriously, this application proliferation is crazy! Crazy, I tells ya! (I was going to make a "this is madness!" joke, but am just too sleep - sorry kiddos!)

Acidity

A. suggests: not staying up too late, eating at regular intervals (actual size of meal doesn't matter; but be consistant), and getting enough sleep.

Something to think about.
