Boredom percolates everywhere; I stare at the screen and hope for starlight. Only the whiteness of the websites appear. One last glance, and then I disappear.

The day started out rotten, then gently improved to "aight" and "okay" rating or thereabouts. Which is, you know, perfectly fine by me I guess. I've got more chores now - chores! Sigh.
My copy of the PBF Comics Book came in today; it's really pretty funny! Lots of the nasty humour which typifies the website.
I'm sleepy, so off I'll go, but if you have the time, read the famous Great Outdoor Fight arc on Achewood: you won't be disappointed!

Al Pacino's AFI Lifetime Achievement Award was on a good couple of hours ago. That was cool. Must be real cool to have that sort of function thrown for you, I guess. Everybody was really nice about it, too, no over-the-top OMG-HE-IZ-DA-KINGZ type dialogue or anything, blessed relief. Lots of fun, lots of jokes, lots of take-downs and nasty humour. I guess when you're at Mr. Pacino's level of career achievement, you can kid about them as much as you like because you know there isn't a chance in hell that anybody's going to take you seriously.
So, ah, life at the moment isn't much for the movements. It's almost two, and I'm dead sleepy (blessed relief), but other than that life is stagnant like a tiny fetid pond. Also the reading of much Questionable Content content isn't doing much good for me at all. So last night, I dreamt I was cycling around Bombay with a girl. No girl in particular, just a hypothetical concept-of-one type thing. And I was cycling! So obviously today I'm all "hmm what would it cost to get back to cycling and oh yeah I wonder where and how I can find a girl". I should probably go back to reading The Year ... Reis again: that's a good book to read at times like this, when you're wondering whether just sitting around doing nothing is in anyway a good way to get on with life (hint: it isn't, but this book will let you in on that slowly, with plenty of buffering and philosophy and literary references and everything). Which hopefully means I eventually (and quickly?) hit the bit where I'm just way too bored with the whole thing to not do something about it, so then I do do something about it, and then - gargh! - have to go back round to step 1. Ah, you know how it is, how it goes, right?
Also this video is pretty good, and I know I should probably listen to more than 1 minute of it before recommending it on but, you know what, it's the 00s, it does have to be good, it just has to be new (or obscure), either way.
Blbhlhlhblbhlh whatever. I guess I should just go and (try to) sleep or something. Y'know, give me something to do and all.

So, my TV set top box stopped working. Grr. Running around, called for help, etc. etc. And then, it goes and fixes itself once the rain stops. Seriously, what the heck?! Now I have to call up tomorrow and cancel the help. Otherwise, they'll charge me for coming.
Blech.

Yes, I know, I know, lots of angsty posts recently. I'm sorry, and I really hope that as things change, this is going to come down slightly, although I don't right now have the slightest clue how things much change, or in what way, or with what cause. But I suppose if I knew, it wouldn't really be a surprise now, would it?
That is I think one good thing about getting bored: eventually, some deep-seated survival instinct kicks in and you start trying out new things, just to escape from the brain-numbing boredom of what is. Anything, anyhow. I suppose in my case I'm waiting for the 21st now; whether things really change, and how much they change, doesn't really matter: the psychological milestone of finishing with the latest spate of deadlines will be enough for me. I guess the idea is something like: normally, I should be slowing myself down, so I'm just overworking and overstressing myself here. But since I've only got a week to go, I'm just sort of running myself into the ground, since I'm this close to getting out anyway.
Of course, I'm not, not really. Neither this close, nor actually 'running myself into ...', etc. I'm just stressed, and tired, and sleepy, and my sleep schedule is whacked, and I don't really have anything to do when I am awake.
Other than that, everything's A-okay.

Excuse the mood, but then, here is the situation:
Then again, I'm lying on my bed, snot pouring out like its going out of style, so I guess I have the right to be depressed. Sigh. It'll be better tomorrow. Also, my birthday is coming up.
Could be worse, I guess. Check out this chick. Also: if I'm going to be worried I'll "never find true love", now is a horrible time to do that - I have a very annoying habit of getting major crushes in end-Feb/early-Mar. So, y'know, wait until mid-April or so, and then accept that it's all overs oh noes etc.

Today was an averagish to goodish day, but the night's becoming a bit of a bummer. Dunno why, my mood just sinks at the thought of sleep. Perhaps it's a sign I need to clean up my room? Sigh. The thought of going to bed and waiting for sleep, tossing and turning, reading and thinking, is really bringing me down right about now. And - I dunno - somehow I feel like just letting myself go, just being really sad for a while and seeing how that works out. But knowing me, somehow, I just don't think I will.
Otherwise, things are fine, or at any rate fine-ish, if a little - okay, very - boring. It's very wake-up-go-to-work-come-home-chill-out-and-sleep. That's hardly enough to keep a soul going, is it? Atleast I managed to walk back today (and yesterday, heh).
So: need to do more this weekend, or sometime soon, or something. Hah. Maybe I should go get a Malaysian visa just in case ... !
In (vaguely) good news - I have a fascinating idea for a story which this blog post is unfortunately too narrow to contain.
